EXPERIENCE

Mr. Shields has structural engineering experience on resorts, military facilities, hospitals,
hotel/casinos, prisons, parking structures, offices, warehouses, residences, and historic
renovation. Some recent projects include the Kirkwood Mountain Club in Kirkwood, California, the
Harrah's Casino in Washington State, the Desert Research Institute in Reno, Nevada, the La Paz
County Complex in Arizona, the Neil Road Family Services Center in Reno, Nevada, the Washoe
County Courthouse in Reno, Nevada, Nellis Air Force Base Civil Engineering Complex, Caesar's
Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Bellagio in Las Vegas, NV, and several large movie theaters
in Washington State and Nevada.

Mr. Shields has a strong understanding of current Building Codes and state of the art design
procedures. With such a diverse background of experience on a wide array of projects, Mr.
Shields has experience with virtually all types of building construction. This background allows
him to approach a project with the budget and the constructability as foremost considerations
during the design process. Mr. Shields puts particular emphasis on working as part of a
cohesive team with Architects, Developers, Contractors, and other Engineers. This relationship
is imperative to provide a quality project in a timely manner.
